    Default Hello from Ontario, Canada

Very interested to see this site and the following especially in the states with the olds 442's and hurst's. I'm currently doing a restore on a 87 442. I moth balled the original engine and put in a done up 350 with a refreshed 2004r with shift kit and other goodies.

This car has bin a long time coming and sooooo happy to be restoring one. I will update my profile with pics soon as she is heading into body shop soon.

Hello all. I am the new owner of a 83 Hurst (East Toronto). Please let me know if you know anyone good who knows about these engines or the tranny (lightening rods). For example, it doesn't seem to shift out of first as smoothly (revs high and you feel the kick as it goes into 2nd) as I would have thought but I don't know if that is 'normal' for this tranny. I've owned a few regular Cutlass Supremes. I want the the car looked over as I plan to keep it. I don't know enough mechanically. Thanks!

It's normal for the trans to shift like that, there's a higher stall converter and performance enhanced valve body and servo for firmer shifts.
