Is that a new pan or did you hot tank yours?
Is there a zinc coating on it?

It is a brand new oil pan and yes I put a zinc coating on it. The original pan is rusted enough that oil leaks through the pan. This was the main reason I took the car off the road in 2001.

Here are some pictures of the car. Note the metric gauges the factory block heater and the two jacking instruction decals, one in English and one in French.

I plan on doing a frame off in the future, I have a 67 Impala convertible torn down right now. Gotta get one done first.

This is what happens when you do burnouts on 20 year old tires. Amazingly it still holds air!

It's a little blurry, I took it with my phone. If you need a clearer picture let me know.

Finally had some time to get back to the project and spent the weekend pulling the engine. Unfortunately we found that the exhaust lifter on cylinder #3 had a broken plunger clip and had wiped out the cam lobe. I am now planning to remove the cat and the air pump add headers and a real dual exhaust system. Any suggestions for an aftermarket cam that is a little better than stock that I can run on the ECM.

I would stick with the factory grind, 196/208 @ .050 with .440/.440 lift and 109LSA if you get too much cam with the computer it will not run right.

210/216 @ .050 will need to be advanced 4 degrees to keep the computer happy in a 307 so I would limit the amount of duration to that.

    Engle 2EP-15/18 207/216 @ .050 with .466/.496 lift should be a good cam.

    Crane also has H-260-2 204/216 @ .050, .454/.484 lift.
