    Default Twin Turbo '88 H/O

Long term project of mine is to use one of my 20th Anniversary Hurst Aero kits to build a twin turbo Olds powered Hurst Olds.
So far I've collected many parts for this build:
    NOS H/O Aero kit
Mint condition blackout trim all around from a GN
NOS exterior parts: lighting, trim, weatherstripping, emblems, etc.
NOS FE3X Oldsmobile Rocket FE3X header emblem from Angelo Valanti
FE3X Hood Scoop from Angelo Valanti
    Black interior
Mint condition '87 442 Sheffield Gray dash trim
'84 Grand National Lier Siegler seats
'84 350 DX block (currenly have my eye on a 0.842 lifter bore bare Batten block)
    Aluminum Hood
    Aluminum Core Support
    Shaved doors
    Non-tilt floor shift steering column
    Grand Prix frame brace
    Grand Prix rear seat brace
    36mm hollow front sway bar

    Some pending plans are:
TH2004R w/Push button select shifter or paddle shifter.
I also have NOS Lightning Rods and an NOS Dual gate setup if I decide to go that route as well however I want to do something different...

GNX style rear suspension or Independent Rear Suspension custom built chassis from Schwartz Performance:
    http://schwartzperformance.com/1978-...carlo-chassis/

    Air Ride suspension

I'm currently looking for a Sunroof optioned '88 Cutlass Supreme Classic to get started.
Car will be triple black all around however I'm still making a decision on paint scheme and if I want a vinyl top or not.
May go with black and gold on this or black and satin black ghosted stripes.

The car will definately be a Grand National killer...

That will be an awesome machine! :icon14: Definitely a GN killer, or anything else for that matter! Good luck with the project!

Sounds good. I would use the DX block with the stock .921" roller lifters. With a turbo you don't need a huge aggressive cam, so the lifters will work just fine.

If you don't use the Lightening Rods, I would be interested in buying them.

Here is the plan for the engine, my goal is 800hp but I would be happy with 650...
Much thought has gone into the geometry of the setup and I still have a few TBD's on Tolerances, Cam/Converter and Turbo(s):

Block: '84 350 DX, 4.195" bore, lifter bores sleeved for 0.842" lifters and possibly 2.5" mains, O-ringed, zero deck, billet main caps/girdle

Crank: 425 with possibly 2.5" mains, cross drilled, chamfered, nitrited

    Rods: 6.2" 2.1" BBC billet aluminum H-beam

Wrist pins: 0.927 OD carbon coated tool steel

Pistons: Custom with 30cc dish (depending on the CR I ultimately want to achieve, I am shooting for 8.8 at the moment), 1.10" pin height

MAHLE ring pack for small block chevy with 0.043 inch top and middle compression rings and the 3mm oil control ring set up
Anti-detonation grooves in the top ring land and an accumulator groove between the two compression rings crowns thermal barrier coated, skirts anti-scuff coated
Wrist pin buttons that are grooved for upper and lower oil ring support rails - throwing this thought around to keep heat away from the ring pack...

    Head gasket: Copper 0.045"

Heads: BTR offset pushrod hole Ebrocks with 77cc new design chambers

    Cam: TBDHyd Roller

Turbo: TBD, I'd like a twin setup with 35-50mm or single 76-88mm

Intake: Custom Fuel Injection with Intercooler

    Rear: GM 8.5" 3.73 posi or Ford 9" 3.90

Trans: TH2004R from Extreme Automatics or a 4L80E

    Converter: TBD

A little update, I picked up a new 350DX from a guy in Lansing that has 0.842 lifter bores and got rid of the one I had.
This one was straight out the back door from GM Oldsmobile Engineering, was part of the stash of blocks used for the Racing Division led by Dale Smith.
The guy also had an aluminum block, weighed 90lbs, I picked it up with my bare hands, was pretty cool looking too

I also picked up a 425 crank that was cut to fit into a 350DX from Markd03 (who's recently been taken into Gods hands)

He also did a couple of these builds with E85 on ROP:
