Default Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader???

This is a 5th grade math problem.
This is not a trick question.
This is a real math problem so don't say that the bus doesn't have legs.

There are 7 girls in a bus.

    Each girl has 7 backpacks.

In each backpack, there are 7 big cats.

For every big cat, there are 7 little cats.

The bus driver is not in the bus at this time.

    Question:

How many legs are there in the bus?

    7 girls x2 legs each = 14 legs
    7 girls x 7 backpacks each =49 backpacks
    49 backpacks x 7 cats in each pac = 343 cats
    343 bigcats x 7 little cats = 2401 cats
    2401 cats x 4 legs each = 9604
    9604 cats legs + 14 girl legs = 9618

i just checked my math expert though and he has this on his computer but it is with teddy bears and the total is over 100,000. i will find out his tomorrow.

There are 10,990 legs in the bus.

    7 girls x 7 backpacks x 7 = 343 big cats

    343 big cats x 7 = 2401 small cats

    (2401 + 343)*4=10,976 cat legs

    10,976 cat legs + 14 girls legs = 10,990 legs

LOL, I thought along the lines of the bus not having legs but I guess it's not a trick question... I would like to know what the real answer is if it's over 100,000.

    Try this one.
A man builds a house. Each wall has a window. Each window faces the same direction. He looks out a window and sees a bear walking by.What colour is the bear?

(if you know the answer, let the others try to get it)

There is not enough information to answer the question... and bears don't walk.

There are only two locations in the world where, if a house was built, all walls would face the same direction.
-the south pole, all walls would face north. No bears in Antarctica.
-the north pole, all walls would face south.Polar bears live in the arctic, therefore the bear would be white.

I only thought it was 406 legs total...my head hurts.

    Edit: refigured...1568 legs? Right?

    Legs=14+7*((7X4)+(49x4))=1568??
