Exterior Door Handle

Well I needed a project this weekend and decided to replace the door handles on my 87 442. The previous owner has mismatched handles on the car. Does anyone have any suggestions on things I should look out for? I tried a google and you tube search on how to repalce them but did not find any usefull information.

Youll need to remove the upper door panel and use a 10 mm socjet to remove them one the linkage is undone.

I've had good luck with a 10mm rachet wrench, one with an offset works even better...Might need a magnetic flexible tool to pick up the nuts if you drop them like I have in the past

Only dropped them about 4 times and yes I have a magnetic stick to pick them up. Ended up snapping one of the old studs off but mostly it wasn't too bad of a project.
