78-88 Cutlass Interior Color RPO Code Index

Here is a quick list of 78-81 A body and 82-88 G body Oldsmobile Cutlass interior colors followed by the RPO code and the paint code for ordering purposes for those wanting to interchange or restore parts from other years to restore their interior, paint chips are here:

There were only a few pieces that GM used these codes for:
Dash, column, rear package tray, console plastic, console arm rest, dash lower column trim and speaker covers.
Everything else was color molded.

The semi gloss was used on the console plastic parts and arm rest, the top pad of the console body was color molded.
Believe it or not the flat stuff was used on the dash and column I believe.
I have seen low mile dashes and they are not shinny nor is the NOS Sage green one I have and just look at the lower column trim and speaker covers compared to the console plastic parts.
It's a little misconception since everyone coats them in armor all...
Rear package tray is flat.

Would like to know if any of you are familiar with the color code L/camel 63? I found a donor pair of rear seats from a junked 1980 Cutty supreme and found the original build sheet on the rear seat frame. I really like this color and plan on doing my rebuild with this along with year code matching white for some trim. Thanks for any input.

Thats an exterior color code, the build sheet states the interior was a 62D trim package which is camel tan.
If you want a paint sample your local body shop could perhaps mix it up.

Looks like you have the 78-80 camel tan color...I picked up a set of dark blue buckets & rear seat out of a 57k mile '82 Calais, they have the velour like material similar to what the 85-88's used..I have never seen a 82 with this material before..maybe it was an option???

It's a 78 I was just confused on the name of the color..

Yep. You have the dark camel tan. Used in 78-80 models. I've never ran across a nice set in that color around here.

Do you know what gbody vehicles that had Midnight blue buckets and rear seat as an options..?

The closest thing to "midnight blue" would be the dark blue used in 1980-82. Like the set I was taking about in the earlier post.

I see this an old thread but I am hoping someone can help me decide which interior color
is correct for my 1987 442---Medium dark gray or dark gray. I see there are 2 grays--have just come from automotive paint store with a glove box cover. The man had both samples but they were identical in my eyes. How can I be sure? VIN # --does it contain the interior code? Thanks Lee
