Has anyone out there used (with any luck) interior fabric and vinyl paint to change over there interior color. I have a light blue 60/40 split bench style in my 79 supreme and was wondering how did it turn out? and how has it lasted?

I've been told that the material they use on seats can't be dyed. I've had good luck with " SEM" they have it for it for plastic/leather and for vinyl. There are 3 parts to each. Prep, primer and paint. Don't mix and match these kits because it Will flake. It's exopensive but it's pro material and better in the long run.

I bought a blue rear seat from an 85 442 that was dyed black using fabric dye, looked like it turned out ok but black might be your best bet or a darker blue. I couldn't see it working well on any other colors.Lightning Rods repair service:CLICK HERE

The lighter colors always dry out and chalk making them hard to find.
I would suggest finding some gray trim and using the paint code located in the interior trim color thread to have some dye mixed up.
Make sure you add Bulldog adheasion promoter so it sticks.
Sanding the trim might make it look bad...Lightning Rods repair service:CLICK HERE
