Lightning Rod Shifter?

Thanks for the reply,do you have any pics of the horse shoe like bracket boted in place?

Positions the console properly so the top plate doesnt rub against the shifter, especially the 1-2 rod.
There is quite a bit of adjusting to get everything lined up. That bracket sometimes needs to be shimmed to get it to align properly with the two front holes on the lower portion of the console.

I would like to know what the horse shoe like bracket does? I have all the parts to the lightning rods except that one. I have the trans bracket and the shifter bracket off the trans.I also have the mounting plate. Is this horse shoe bracket just there to hold the top plate on?
