  • Walker to Factory VIN9 Tailpipe Comparrison

    Here is a comparrison to the factory tail pipes and Walker replacements.
    You can see the difference in lenghts and cut styles of the tips.

    The factory are mandrel bent whereas Walkers are crimped.
    I've seen some exhaust systems (y pipe and tails) that were crimped and claimed to be original to the car however all NOS units I've seen are mandrel.

    Looked at what is on mine, and they look like the Walker replacements. I wondered why there are still places with partial stickers on them, not to mention still in good shape after sitting for years. That might also explain why it was not so loud...the mufflers may need to get burned out a bit I'll work on that when it gets on the road Thanks for posting the pics!
