Need help identifying a sensor and a wire

Hi I just picked up an 83 hurst/olds with the original 307 in it. I'm trying to get it all buttoned up and am hoping someone can help me out. I'd like to start with a pic of a sensor and a wire on the passenger side of the intake right behind the a/cimage.jpgimage.jpg

Hard to tell from the photo, but the location seems to indicate it's a temp sensor or temperature switch. Usually it's on the other side.

Looks to be an aftermarket temp sensor.
