  • Heater Fan/Blower not working

The fan does not come on, but if I put it on full hot, the heat will eventually creep into the cabin. All my fuses are good. I am not sure how to check the fan (assuming its that thing on the passenger firewall area.) to make sure it is working.

Sounds like a bad relay, easy fix.
Sometimes the power wire shorts out at the connector in the harness which runs by the distributor, it's a thick red wire.

Cutlass choke wiring.jpg**** man. It never fails me. Ghetto ass rigging on this car. I hope that is the correct red wiere going to the distributor. Connection doesnt look too bad (but could be cleaned) but I am now worried about why my choke was terrible spliced into that red wire...

It's not a wire running to the distributor but runs by it, it looks like someone may have already bypassed it.
You can see the original red wire in the square 4 prong connector in the lower left of the photo.
Why is your pink power wire to the distributor disconnected?

The pink wire was disconnected so I could trace the choke wire that was ghetto spliced into the side of that pink one. Literally, they shaved the side off and didnt even splice it properly.

So its the red wire going into the 4 square prong connector? I have a red wire also going into a black ball thing in it also.
