[QUOTE=88hurstolds;2794]What kind of intake are you running on this setup?
Sorry it took so long to reply. I was in Bermuda for the week

http://www.professional-products.com/fuelrails.php This where I got my intake from. I was going to have one custom made but the price got out of control!

I haven't wrenched on the cutlass in a while. This project is something I have wanted to do since I put the 455 in and return the cutlass to it's Oldsmobile heritage. I have been playing with the exhaust and changed the mufflers and tailpipes to the 442 style and get rid of the monte carlo style. You can see the old pipes on the floor. I ran out of Argon for the Mig welder when I get more I will post more pics.

Nice, I like that style better than the Monte style.
Seeing pipes running along the bottom of the quarter out to the bumper looks tacky, especially if you can see a clamp.

Are you going to cut an angle into the tips like factory?
The top one is Walker, the back one is factory.

Thanks for the picture. I had the angle on the tailpipes but wasen't happy with the way it looked. I cut the pipes flush. If I change my mind I could always cut an angle again. I do prefer the original cut.

Took advantage of the nice Sunday weather to start my winter project. I am tired of sweeting so over the winter I will installing A/C so next car show season will be a nice and comfortable one.
Removed the dash to install the duct work and A/C vents

A/C box restored and ready for install

Did you originally have a heater box in there?
I removed mine from my T-top '88 but I would agree with any hard top car that it is much needed.
I am not sure if I want to have AC in my other '88, I am going with a turbo setup and not sure if I will need the extra room under there. I have a heater box setup for it but I am still looking for the wire harness that runs from the back of the heater box to the controls in the dash.

I had the factory non a/c box. Just got tired of sweeting. If I had t -tops I probably wouldn't bother with A/C either. Turbo you say when will you be posting up some pictures you have got my interest

made some more progress. Got the dash installed and the A/C box installed with a new evaporator. Next modify small block compressor brackets for my big block and get the rest of the parts. The will have to wait till after the holidays ( The money will be going to buy Christmas gifts)

I was back at it today. I got the compressor mounted and wired. Just waiting for the proper dryer to and ALT belt to arrive. A picture to share the progress

Did you use an AC system from an 85-88?
I know the older style hoses are no longer available... however the driers are.

The system I am using is from an 1987 cutlass. I was fortunate to find a system with factory hoses. I heard horrible stories about the aftermarket not fitting correctly. I should have my dryer in a couple of days

Here is the system all bolted up and vacuumed down . It held 28 inches of vacuum for over a week. Now I just have to add some 134a and give a test
