    Wow that turned out nice!
Did you paint the motor or is it a new one?
FYI those red heater relay's can be purchased still for about $8

Thanks! I will get a red resistor at some point. I just wanted to get up and going.

The motor is the same one. I stripped it to bare metal and sprayed it at work. The box I just did a soap and water wash on. Only thing left to do is get some wiring to go from the single brown wire, to blower switch, then to the connector on the box. Hopefully I can find some, or ill make it.

Here's a couple pics of the controls.

Also tested it out briefly today, and everything functions as it should. The different modes work perfect same with hot/cold. Glad I went through and replaced all the foam inside for good a good seal when the doors are closed. Still need wiring though.

Finished hooking up and wiring my new setup this morning, and it works flawlessly! It's nice to have heat, vent, and defrost without the bulk of all the A/C equipment. I am also much happier I went with an OEM setup, vs. buying one of those conversion plates and modifying things and not knowing if it will work or fit correctly.

I was told by a company that this swap would be so difficult it's not worth it, and I should just buy the A/C to heat only conversion (from them). While its not a walk in the park it, only took a buddy and myself 4-5 hours to completely remove the dash from the car, install everything, and install the dash. That includes beer breaks

            A couple more pics:

              Awesome!
I still have to finish up mine, I need to install a heater core and motor still and route all the plumbing not to mention cleaning it up.
I quickly installed it when I changed out the dash and never got around to finishing it up.

Hey all, Been a lil while since I posted. I found a few parts off of a 1980 non a/c car buried in the woods. I got the heat shield for the non ac box, window squirts, and the dummy passenger side dash vent. Along with those things, I did a little tooling around to a hood i had with a a scoop in it. The factory HO scoop i think is junk due to someone filling in the center portion with bondo. But I got a repro scoop minus chrome and made a functional cowl hood with it. Also I contacted Custom Rebuilt Carbs in NJ and got a custom built Q-jet for the olds 350. It runs great no problems at all. Next, im working on getting the KZF trans back into the car so most of the drive line is original...

                  Heres some pics:

Thanks! Shes coming along. Just working on refurbishing the factory 4 speed shifter and making a reverse pattern gate for it now. Those overlays for the dash are exactly what I have. They are actually really nice pieces.

are you going to get rid of the hood ornament and stainless strip down the middle of the hood?
I've swapped them out by using the longer scoop trim on the hood and let it over hang on the hood so it covers up the hood ornament area when the hood is closed.
I may look a little funny when the hood is open but it worked out very nicely.
I might have a photo of it somewhere.
The alternative is to cut the over hanging piece and secure it to the header.

Hmmm haven't thought about that. I kind of like the ornamant, but now that you mention it, it might look pretty good without it and just the stainless trim in its place. I could use the remainder of the hood trim i got from the junkyard. I have the piece I cut off where the hole is in the hood.
