  • My New Project

just wanted to post pics of my new project, its an 87 442 that i got for free, yes free. matching numbers except for the trans. the guy i got it from picked the parts he needed(interior, rad, misc brackets etc....) 8.5 rear still in it, floors gone,(one of my customers owes me a favor and he is doing them for next to nothing), doors gone. i have already started the cosmetic resto, got it running again, runs better than my other '87, the nose is off being painted(pick it up thurs), most of the interior back together except for the seats, all electrical works. just picked up a '88 CSC for $200.00 and it has 76,000 miles and its a dead solid body and doors, the pics listed are when first got it, the rims and tires are my spares. its for now going to be my race car, i don't want to beat on my other '87:

Wow metallic burgundy is pretty rare, and t-tops on top of that...
Looks like a good start for a resto, do you have the fender?
I'm starting the frame off resto on my 87 this fall, pretty much have everything for it to start except for a big enough garage to do it in...

What's the 88 CSC look like? Any t-tops on that?
I have only seen 3 88 CSC's in the past 5 years with t-tops, mine, a recent gray one for sale on ROP that I really want to buy and a black one I saw online 3 or 4 years ago.

Nice car man. What do you have in store for it? Stock restore, or something custom?

ive got the other fender already on it and painted, the car will have a modified 403 with 71 350 7a heads, bored 20, voodoo cam, Perf RPM intake thats ready to go in with a built GN 2004r, g-force crossmember, hedman headers. i will see how that combo does for a while. ill keep the orig drivetrain and keep looking for a KZF trans. the whole package will be stealth, it will look stock.
the 88 is a loaded one but no SR or t-tops. i got a free 88 CSC last year from a guy in Maine but it was way to rotted to do anything with. i still have the seats, whole t-top roof, and nose.

              Sounds like a killer setup!
I have a sunroof for my 84 but have been wanting to find a t-top roof for it. I am kind of torn but two of my cars already have t-tops so I may just go with the sunroof since it would be an easier install.

For my other 88 CSC I am going to go with a twin turbo setup with the DX block I have. I am also blacking out everything including the interior, I have been collecting much of the interior and trim already and am going to start gathering some stuff for the motor. The build is a few years away from now but as all projects it's good to have everything before starting.
