  • Hello From Michigan

Hi, I am new to this site. I own a 1979 cutlass 4 speed stick car. It is black with black bucket seat interior. I have been wondering how many where built in 1979. The car has the V8 / 4 speed combo. It is absolutely stripped! No AC, No power anything except brakes. The car does not even have a console. It has the hurst shifter right between the bucket seats on the floor. It is all original. It does need paint because it enjoyed about 5 Michigan winters. It has been stored in a barn since 1984. I am in the process of making it road worthy. It has an aluminum hood, kind of weird. Anyway, if someone knows production numbers I would like to know how many 4 speed sticks were assembled in Lansing in 1979. Thanks

    Welcome to the site!
Definately a mighty rare car, do you have any photos?
    Here are some production figures:

The GM Heritage Center will tell you everything you want to know about your car including the production figures for how many came with the 305/4-speed combo.
Cost is $50, you will get all the original dealer/owner and RPO information for your car and a few other neat little tidbits.
    Good Luck :icon14:
