  • 85 cutlass from Indy

Hey guys/gals I just found your site the other day. I am registered on classic olds and real olds power. I live in Indianapolis and finished rebuilding my 85 cutlass supreme about a month ago. I went with a 74 olds 350 with 7 heads off a 71 olds. Steve Schmitt racing her in Indy did the machine work on the block. Had it bored 30 over, align honed, decked, and balanced. Indy Cylinder head did the head work, they ported/polished along with a 3 angle valve job. Comp cam, roller rockers, entire valve train comp. Hedman headers with flow master exhaust, Edelbrock intake with holley 4 barrel. 3.08 rear end. This winter I will replacing the fan with an electric fan and putting a 3.73 rear end in. Ill add some pics in the near future.

    Welcome Denny!
Sound like a great setup, can't wait to see a few photos...

Are you running a stock floor shifter in your Cutlass or is it column shift?
The reason I ask is that I've heard some say that Headman Headers interfere with the shifter linkage for floor shift and Lighting Rods.

Sorry for the late response, ive been on vacation. I have the column shifter. Wish I had the bucket seats with floor shifter. But then again I wish I had a limitless supply of money!
