Hey all, new guy from Northern Jersey. Picked up an '88 Cutlass Supreme about two years ago. It was in great condition, interior practically mint, minor dings on the exterior, and my first Gbody. Its my daily driver for now & unfortunately caught a hit & run around Xmas last year. Picked up the fenders and trim and should be fixing it back up by summer. Looking forward to sharing more pictures with you guys. Thanks!

Thanks! I picked it up with 124k & its a little over 133k now. I've been in the process of getting it back up to par both cosmetically and mechanically, little bit at a time. Now that nicer weather is finally here I'll be able to get some more work done. I'm burning a ton of oil so I'm going to take the valve covers off this weekend and see if I can find out what's going on.

Sounds like it needs valve seals, not a difficult fix.
I would tackle those if the compression is good and its not a ring problem then clean out all the EGR passages, put a new EGR valve and O2 sensor on it and rebuild the carb.
Pretty much basic maintenance with these cars.
It should run like new after that...Lightning Rods repair service:CLICK HERE

Well I replaced the O2 sensor and cleaned out the egr valve about two weeks ago. I priced a carb rebuild at $275 so I'll take care of that sometime this summer. I guess it would be a good idea to clean out the egr passages while the carb is off. From what I've heard the best way to do it is with a drill bit and/or wire..? I picked up new valve cover gaskets so I'll take a look at the seals while I'm in there this weekend. Taking a ride down the shore Saturday to pick up some 14x7 SSII's so I'll post pics'88 Cutlass Supreme 307
