That's pretty sweat! It always has baffled me that most g bodies seemed to reach their pinnacle in 87... As far as available options & different models... & then boom, gm only offered a few models in 88 & that was the end of it! It makes no sense to me... Did your car come with any documentation of the hurst kit? I read that some that bought the kit could register the car with hurst... That is a good friend that let's you store a car at his place... If that ever falls through, feel free to keep the car in my garage! :icon14:

lol I dream the day I have my own garage. Looking maybe next year. yeah ive read that also but only if its an 88 with that kit then its the anniversary kit and if its an 87 then its called a different one. 88 hurst knows hes more knowledgable than i am. I think there may be around 300 of these kits out there know to date. Interesting story on my car,True story the guy I bought the car from passed away about humm 10 years ago and he worked for GM. He loved these cars like we all do so he and his sister ordered two 86 442's cause the 87's werent out yet (funny)any how this guy being that he worked for GM had inside info that they were producing the 87's and that this kit was or would be available for him to purchase so he did. I dont know what happend or why he didnt put the door inserts and the trunk wing on. maybe he liked it the way it was. I wish they had the other peices but didnt. His mom and sister held on to the car for years in storage and finally decided to let it go and the rest is history so I am the second owner and they were happy that it went to a good home.

Hell yeah... I think i read on another website that anyone who bought the kit could register their 81-87 cutlass that it was installed on, & it was considered a 198_? cutlass hurst aero or something to that effect... I am running out of stuff to read about the 81-88 Cuttys online... Dang it, I've read almost everything I've came across in the last 18 months.., I caught the bug & now I'm gonna be "chasing the dragon" until I own about 6 of them! HaHa, don't tell my wife what she is in for... If you dont mind me asking, what is the price range that you have paid for your cars? If you want to seperatley, or just, ah, $3-$8,000 or something like that... I'm not trying to be too nosy, just Interested...

Only around 100 kits were made with about 30-40 registered to 88 Cutlasses upon ordering according to the Hurst Olds Club.
As for how many still exist, Ive only seen or heard of around 20 or so over the years.Lightning Rods repair service:CLICK HERE

Yesssir....when I turrned 16, I test dove an 81 Regal & a 83 Cutlass, both were pretty beat up...& I ended up buying a fairly clean 85 Monte & at the time that was my favorite g.body....
Several years later I had an 88 Capice ,got T.Boned by a old guy & used the $ to buy an 84 Regal Limited which I had for years...& I started to like Regals more than Montes....
About a year ago, I decided that I didn't want to dump any more $ into my Regal & wanted a rust free project car...I searched for a while & found my 85' 442....Believe it or not, Now the Cutlass is by far my favorite g.body for the forseeable future....
But Like you said Mr. Evil, Id love to own a Turbo Regal/GN/T.Type one day!
